the emo setlist - 004 - Calendar Chaos

January 26th, 2024

Introduction - Calendar Chaos 🗓️

Two weeks ago, I was beginning to wonder if all of the emo/hardcore/metalcore tours ran out of steam and 2024 would not deliver anything as spectacular as 2023. I was very wrong. In the past two weeks, it is becoming difficult to keep up with all of the tour announcements and pre-sales. 2024 is kicking off with amazing energy with Beartooth performing night after night to nearly all sold-out shows and Thursday began their tour yesterday to a sold-out crowd. Get your calendars ready, tell all your friends, and let’s go! 🚀

Special Moments

  1. Jimmy Eat World performed during half-time at the NFL playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans (this being written by a diehard Browns fan). The Good Morning Football discussion is well worth your time watching shared by KMPR. LINK

Merch 📦

  1. Silverstein released their remaining tour merch in their online store. LINK

Creators 🎨

  1. Dashboard Confessional shared this reel - “How to write an emo song” by Mark Little and was fantastic. LINK

  2. Nick Vieira continues to bring comedy to the emo and metalcore world with his America’s Got Talent audition. LINK

  3. The Elder Emo Cvlt and Hawthorne Heights neglecting the 2000’s emo playlist. LINK

  4. Crankdat remixing the Baja Blast step. I can’t even count how many times I have watched this on repeat and cannot stop laughing. LINK
